Vegas '06

Vegas baby, Vegas. After a glorious wedding up in NH, Crystal and I headed out west with a few friends to enjoy some additional r & r in Las Vegas. We spent the majority of the time out by the pool, soaking up the sun and a little bit of gambling. It was nice to be able to meet up with friends of ours, some whom we haven't seen since our wedding. And although the weather was beautiful ( 100+ degrees and 6% humidity), after 4 days we had had our fill. We are now back in glorious Philly with the start of work looming.

Start of VACATION!!!!

that's right y'all we have begun our vacation! 11 days off. We've got a great time planned and many pics to follow..hopefully. It begins tonight with a trip up to NY to pack and get set for the huge weekend...the wedding of Sarah and John. more to follow . some pics from previous adventures to tide y'all over until our return

BBQ ?

so I was reading my sisters most recent post at johnsarah.blogspot.com and it got me thinking about BBQ. Over the weekend we had some great BBQ at the rehearsal dinner in Dallas, but the best place for BBQ has to be bill millers. A place we would frequent quite often while living in San Antonio. and the sketchest place we've had BBQ has got to be the road side "restaurant" that we sampled in Aruba, pictured below. At least we could see what they were cooking.....possibly a few HAACP violations.

We have just returned from our first trip back to Texas since moving from the great state of Texas in March of '04. Ahhh the warm weather, the friendly people, the open land and the lack of humidity make us appreciate Philly less and less. We were back in Texas to be a part of the wedding of our good friends Jason and Jennifer. I was honored to be one of Jasons' groomsmen. The following are a few pictures from our weekend.
